odditiesoflife: Montague John Druitt - Jack the Ripper Suspect Druitt (1857–1888) was a suspect in the Jack the Ripper murders that took place in London between August and November 1888. From an upper-middle class background, he was a teacher and barrister. In November 1888, he lost his post at the school. One month later his body was found drowned, death by suicide, which roughly coincided with the end of the murders. The evidence against him was entirely circumstantial and he is an unlikely suspect.
